This covers the cost to enter you and your partner in Bageled NYC's 2025 Dill & Dough Tournament along with food, drinks, and complimentary specially-designed towels for each member of the team!
What is Dill & Dough?
Dill & Dough is the first ever all-doubles, combined tennis and pickleball tournament with teams competing either at both sports or pickleball-only in a round-robin format! Bagels will be provided on-site by Greenberg's Bagels, pickles from Grillo's Pickles, and drinks from Brooklyn Best!
When and where is it?
The tournament will take place on Saturday, May 10th, 2025 from 9:30am to 2pm at the Linden Park Tennis Courts in Brooklyn, NY (located on Stanley Ave. between Vermont St. and Van Siclen Ave.).
If May 10th gets rained out, then we will play on Saturday, May 17th from 9:30am to 2pm. You must be available both days to participate in the event. (In the unlikely event both days get rained out, we will postpone the event to Sunday, May 18th.)
What equipment do I need to participate?
Both you and your partner need to bring your own tennis rackets and pickleball paddles. That’s it! We’ll provide balls and everything else.
Tell me more about how the event works:
You and your doubles partner will play timed games in a co-ed, round-robin format against the other teams in your division. (Please note that we do not provide partners - you should find your partner when signing up.) You'll play tennis during one half of the event and pickleball during the other half of the event (with one caveat explained in just a second). The top teams from each division will be the ones with the most combined tennis and pickleball points scored and will advance to a knockout-style final round to determine the ultimate Dill & Dough champions!
The caveat mentioned above: We are also offering a fixed-partner pickleball-only tournament for any teams that would prefer to only play pickleball and not play tennis. You and your partner will play against all other pickleball teams before a final knockout-style single elimination mini-tournament to determine the winners.
Instructions on signing up:
You may sign up on behalf of your team for only one division: either advanced/upper intermediate tennis + pickleball or the all-level pickleball-only division. We recommend signing up for the advanced/upper intermediate tennis division for tennis players who are NTRP 4.0+. MAKE SURE TO PROVIDE your exact email address since we will use this to collect more information for you and your partner soon after you’ve registered.
If you have questions, feel free to email us at [email protected] and we can help you sign up for the correct division. Just make sure that, in your email, you include a description of your experience in both sports (How long have you played? Have you played competitively? If so, what are the types of events where you have played competitively?).
Thanks for signing up and we can’t wait to see you out there!
Oh no! Is your division sold out?
Email us at [email protected] (with your name and your partner's name and email address along with the division you want to play in) and we'll put you on the waiting list in case another team drops out.
Want to hang out but don't want to compete in the tournament?
Snag a spectator-only ticket! This will get you bagels, pickles, and drinks! Bring a racket in case there's downtime and you want to jump on a free court with a friend for a few minutes to rally.
Refund policy:
You may request a refund up until 72 hours before the event by emailing us at [email protected].
